Welcome to Ramblers Self Catering Accommodation. To make your stay safe and comfortable, below you will find all the important information & guidelines that will be helpful during and after your stay.

Warning

In case of any violation of the guidelines, your reservation could be cancelled, and nothing will be refunded. Excessive loudness, disturbance, inconvenience, discomfort, and misconduct to our guests/or staff is unacceptable. Such behaviour will result into guest being asked to evacuate the room and property premises without any refund.

Quiet Hours

Quiet hours at our property are established as follows: 22:00 to 06:00. During these designated quiet hours, particular courtesy should be shown to enable others to get sufficient sleep. Excessive noise is not permitted at any time in or around the residence rooms/halls. Loud voices and sound from other activities in the proximity of the residence rooms/halls is considered to be excessive noise that can be heard more than one door (or residence hall/room) away. Guest must also note that an old age home is located in front of our property.

No Smoking

Ramblers Self Catering Accommodation is No-Smoking to comply with new law of health and security regulation. Smoking inside the property rooms, reception, or hallway is completely prohibited. Guest must make use of the designated smoking area under thatch roof for smoking purpose.

Damages, Breakages and Antisocial Behavior

Mutual respect, Courtesy & Love are the standards that comprises in Ramblers Self Catering Accommodation. We are tiny budget accommodation provider, and the property is maintained by handwork and craftsmanship from various people. Unfortunately, there are people who do not treat our Staff and Property in a similar manner as we do. Guests are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you and/or those that accompany you or your visitors, whether they are staying in the property or not, cause to the property, accommodation and its contents including the associated parts of Property. We ask your cooperation to report back to us any incident as soon as it occurs to solve the situation.

Damage Recovery

Further charge for not reporting back to us (up to 500 N$). Cost for repairing the caused damage. additionally, Property will charge of minimum 500N$ for soiled bedding, towels, carpets, furnishings, and colouring caused by room holder, but not limited to, vomit, food and drink stains, blood and bed wetting. The property will also charge in full for any lost room nights resulting from any such damage and incidents mentioned in these conditions.

Insurance

You should have in place appropriate professional indemnity insurance cover for the duration of your stay that will indemnify and hold harmless Us, the establishment and its employees, servants and agents against all liabilities, costs, expenses, losses including but not limited to any direct, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of reputation and all interest, penalties and legal costs (calculated on a full indemnity basis) and all other reasonable professional costs and expenses, damages, injuries or judgements in any way caused by your negligence or wrongdoing. Ramblers Self Catering Accommodation CC do not take any responsibility for loss or damage to the property of guests & visitors, whether arising from theft, fire or otherwise, by whomsoever caused, or arising from the negligence or wrongful act of any person or employee.

Baggage

We are unable to help with your baggage and we strongly recommend that take care of your baggage while travelling and leaving your luggage in reception or anywhere in the property. We do not have pick & drop service. Guests need to carry their baggage themselves.

Bar & Restaurant

There is no bar & restaurant facility at the property. However, Guests can have their breakfast, lunch & dinner or enjoy a drink conveniently at NUST Hotel School, located next door on Beethoven street. Guests can also call +264612072233 to enquire about menu, pricing and/or reservations.

Cancellation

When you book your reservation, you are biding a legal contract between the guest (who make the reservation, a person or a company), Portal (booking platform where you book our property) and host (Property). Different booking platform and Property have different cancellation policy depends on the various factor (e.g: Local festival, Trade fair, Holidays & etc). Kindly read your cancellation policy carefully before making the booking. Deposit paid for a booking made directly with property is always non-refundable.

Car Parking

Free Parking at property is possible (subject to availability). Oversized vehicle may be restricted. Please contact us in advance with vehicle dimensions to know if it will fit.

Check In

Guest can check in from 14:00 till 22:00 (local time). We strongly recommend our dear guests to look your arrival time at the property before making your reservation. Kindly take account of traffic, transport delays and traffic congestion specially in peak period before starting your journey. In case of No-Show during our reception time, your reservation will be considered Cancelled and charges will be applied per our cancellation policies. Because of budget room prices, we are restricted to maintain limited reception hours and unable to afford full time Receptionist.

Check Out

The latest time for Checking out is 10:00 (local time) on your day of departure. Kindly settle all the undue payment day before (during 14:00 till 18:00). Guest will be charged 30 N$ for Late Check out (which is subjected to availability of room) for the first hour and then later 20 N$ /Hour for each additional late hour (or part thereof). During Checkout, kindly give a thorough look at room for avoiding the missing belongings. We ask to leave your room key inside the room and close the door.

Deposit

Depending on the Room rate policy, after making the reservation, Property is eligible to pre-authorize card or request for a pre-payment. Please give attention to payment policy before making reservation.

Drying Facility

Property have enough drying facility (wash lines) for all the guests. In exceptional cases when guest need external drying facility, then please refer telecom telephone directory, or contact reception.

Insects, Allergies, etc.

Due to ongoing construction activities in the neighbourhood, our property often receives fine dust and presence of pollen because of the garden in the property and trees in the neighbourhood. Further, A protection against mosquito bite (Spray or body lotion) is highly recommended during warm months (e.g. October to March). Please let us know if you have any specific query in connection with any allergy or medical condition of yours.

Fire / Emergency

In case of Fire or Life-threatening Emergency: Please Call city police +26461302302 and press emergency button in your room to draw attention.

Property & Room Key

Guests are provided with 1 or 2 keys with Room number and a remote for opening the gate during Check-In. In case if you have one Key, it will work for front property door + room door and for back yard door. If you got 2 keys, one would work for Front Door + back yard door and one will with your room door.
Please keep your key(s) with you whenever you leave the property as Staff is not at reception all the time to open the front door. Front and back yard door lock automatically when it closes.
Guests will be provided with ONLY One set of Key(s) per Room regardless of room category. Please do not remove the key from key fob. All key fob(s) are unique and custom design to Ramblers Self Catering Accommodation and are not available anymore if you lost one time. Kindly leave the key in room during checking out. In case, you lost the Key, inform at the reception immediately. As it takes time to make duplicate and unfortunately, we have to charge extra for this.

House Keeping

Our House Keeping personal starts cleaning the room every day from 09:00 till 16:00. During this period rooms are refreshed for arriving/staying guests. At present, the housekeeping is only available on demand for staying guests. If you do not ask for housekeeping, then our housekeeping staff will not enter in your room.

Internet

Free internet via Wi-Fi is available in the Property. A voucher code or password will be given to the guests during check-in to access the internet. Iron Facility

An Iron and Iron board is available on request during our reception hours. This service is currently free of charge and limited to availability of equipment.

Items Left Behind

We recommend you take care of your belongings. In case of your negligence if you have forgotten something in the property then informed us immediately. We will inform our staff for lost item to look for it. Small important stuff (e.g: Documents, Jewellery, electronic items etc) could be posted on the expense of guest. For larger item(s) guests must make collection arrangement themselves.

Laundry

Property is providing laundry service (at extra charge,100N$/kg or part thereof).

Payment

We only accept Cash (local currency, Namibian Dollars only) and electronic funds transfer to our bank accounts. In case of international SWIFT transfers, guest will be responsible for all bank charges. Payments using credit or debit cards swiping is not available at present.

Reception

Reception is not managed 24 Hours. Staff is available from 09:00 till 21:00 to manage Reception and guest requests. During off seasons and Non-new arrival, Reception timing are subject to change and will be informed before via our website. The guests staying overnight could contact us in case of emergency on Numbers provided at reception desk.

Room Service

Room Service is not available in Property. In case if you need anything, Kindly contact at reception in person and reception staff will do it best to accommodate your request. Regarding Room cleaning look on House Keeping option.

Security

Property front door and gate are usually locked all the time. Guests need the key and gate remote every time to exit & re-enter the property. In case if you forget your key during reception timing our staff is happy to open the door for you. We highly suggest you take care of your valuable. Please do not leave it outside your room. Property will not be responsible for it. Lock your door whenever you are leaving the room or staying overnight. In case, if you confront someone while leaving or entering the Property, we request you kindly, DO NOT LET THEM COME INSIDE it could cause breach/damage property security. If they do enter, kindly inform immediately at reception during reception hour, or via provided telephone numbers or use panic/emergency button in your room.

Telephone

Telephones are not provided in the rooms. Kindly use your mobile phone to make calls. In case if you do not have one, our Receptionist will be happy to make call locally for you during reception hours.

Television / Newspaper

This facility is not available. Guests may however make use of our free Wi-Fi to download or watch the media contents online and read their favourite news site on their devices (laptop, tablets etc).

Visitor

We would prefer you meet your visitor at property lounge or outside the property, not to take them in Property room. Visitors are not allowed in room between 21:00 to 9:00 because of fire and security reasons. Please ask your visitor to respect property regulations and policies. Also read Damage section for further details. We ask your cooperation and understanding.

Welcome

We hope you fully enjoyed your stay at our property. We understand that there is always something to complain about, but we are assuring our guests that they will get the best value of the money they paid and hopefully there will be nothing to complain about. We are providing all the services that we can in our budget friendly property according to our ranking. However, there is always a place to improve and we are happy to listen honest productive feedback from our dear customers. We highly appreciate if you can give us feedback either by personal hand-written note or via Email. We will do our best to implement it, and obviously you will the first to hear from us.
